Welcome to Tri-City AI Links

At Tri-City AI Links, we believe the future of artificial intelligence isn’t just built in labs—it’s forged in collaboration across communities. We’re a hub connecting the AI ecosystems of Hillsboro, Beaverton, and Portland, bringing together researchers, founders, students, and innovators who are shaping the next wave of intelligent technology.

What We Do

Our mission is simple: to make regional AI innovation visible, accessible, and connected. We curate the most meaningful news, events, research papers, startup launches, and job postings across the Tri-City area, so you don’t have to search across a dozen sources to find what matters. Whether you’re a developer looking for your next role, a founder seeking funding, or a student exploring AI education paths, we’re here to help you find your place in the ecosystem.

Topics We Cover

We focus on the people, projects, and partnerships driving AI forward in our region:

  • Curated AI news and trend reports from Hillsboro, Beaverton, and Portland
  • Upcoming meetups, hackathons, and conference listings
  • Profiles of local AI startups and founders
  • Directories of research labs, incubators, and innovation centers
  • Guides to funding opportunities, grants, and venture capital in Oregon
  • Education pathways: bootcamps, university programs, and certifications
  • Tools and open-source projects developed locally
  • How regional innovation connects to global AI breakthroughs

About the Creator

I’m Bekah Funning, a tech storyteller and community builder with over a decade of experience in innovation ecosystems. I’ve worked with startups, universities, and economic development agencies across the Pacific Northwest, and I’ve seen firsthand how disconnected talent and resources can stall progress—even in places bursting with potential. Tri-City AI Links was born from my frustration with scattered information and my belief that collaboration is the most powerful AI tool we have.

Why This Website Exists

I created Tri-City AI Links because I kept hearing the same thing: "I didn’t know there was an AI event in Hillsboro," or "I didn’t realize Portland labs were partnering with Beaverton startups." The pieces were all there—but not in one place. This site is my effort to stitch the fabric of our regional AI community together. We don’t just report on innovation—we help it happen.

Our Values

We believe in:

  • Transparency: Every link, event, and profile is verified and sourced.
  • Inclusivity: We highlight voices across gender, background, and experience.
  • Practicality: We focus on what’s actionable—jobs, funding, events, tools.
  • Community over competition: We celebrate collaboration, not just disruption.

Our content is written with care, reviewed for accuracy, and updated regularly. No paid promotions. No clickbait. Just real connections in the real Pacific Northwest AI scene.
